Upgrade from the TAA Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to the TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE 40110

Qualification Overview

Please not the following information for participants who are seeking to upgrade their qualifications to ensure currency and obtain the newly released TAE40110.

1. It is not compulsory to upgrade. You may retain your TAA40110 and use it in your training and development job role.

2. The reasons that students generally upgrade are as follows:

  • There might be a legal or compliance requirement in their workplace
  • Trainers should maintain currency and demonstrate on-going professional development
  • The new Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) standards for RTO’s require trainers and assessors to hold the most current qualification which in this case is the TAE

3. In order to upgrade the following steps need to be followed:

Candidate presents information

  • The candidate needs to provide a JP'ed copy of their Certificate IV TAA40110 as well as their academic record
  • The candidate needs to provide proof that they are currrently training
  • They need to complete our enrolment form

Candidate does not wish to do additional work

  • For candidates who do not wish to do any additional work, they will receive the new TAE
  • Their academic record will contain 2 units at a level 3: TAEASS301A and TAEDEL301A
Candidate does want to acquire some of the new TAE units
  • Candidates who are looking to acquire some of the new units such as TAEDEL 404A - Mentor in the workplace, BSBCMM - Make a presentation and BSBREL402A - Build client relationships and business networks will need to attend 2 days of training to upgrade to the TAE OR will need to complete the relevant portfolio builders

 4. Suggested pricing guide

Straight recognition $145.00

Upgrade including 2 days training $600.00

Upgrade with 2 units of RPL, self-study $450.00

  • Learn how to think systemically so that you build networks for your own growth and for gaining credibility
  • Understand group dynamics so that your presentations and training sessions are interactive and beneficial to participants
  • Learn techniques to manage challenging participants so that all participants are included in the learning experience
  • Gain skills in mentoring in the workplace so that you can work one on one with participants to guide and coach them in their career and professional development
  • Adapt to workplace and on-the-job learning techniques
  • Learn key presentation skills so that your style of delivery has a ‘wow’ factor
  • Using Power Point effectively according to the principles of ‘slideology’
  • Adjust your non-verbal behavior so that you communicate effectively with the group
